Music Lite by Organic Themes
A heads-up about an upcoming music performance and a fun opportunity for you to make a positive impact in the High Country community. Join us on Tuesday, October 17, as the High Country Breast Cancer Foundation is having a fundraising event at Lost Province Brewing Co. in Boone NC. I will be providing live entertainment, and Appalachian State University Men’s Basketball Head Coach Dustin Kerns will be calling bingo. The music will start around 6 PM (or perhaps a little earlier), and bingo starts at 7 PM. A portion of food & beverage sales on Tuesday evening will be donated to the foundation.
The mission of the High Country Breast Cancer Foundation is to support breast cancer patients, survivors, and their families in the High Country of North Carolina.
Irene Sawyer, the foundation founder and president, promises that the foundation’s efforts are direct from wallet to patient. Therefore, Irene covers the cost of everything with earnings from her Real Estate business: The pink tents, their signature tutus, pink ducks, the free food they provide at community events, the race t-shirts and gift packets, the entertainment on race day, the advertising expenses, etc.
Every penny they receive from sponsors, fundraisers, and donors goes to help those in need, right here in the High Country. Consider the foundation your humble conduit between those in the community who can give and those in the community who need that gift.
From 2017 to today. Irene, her officers, and YOU – our neighbors – have come together to make sure that the Foundation accomplishes its mission: to help the local community and let those facing breast cancer know their community is fighting the fight with them.
